This Sub-Secretariat has the objective of structuring programs for foreign trade, to enhance the international competitiveness of Minas Gerais products and create and exporting culture in small and medium companies in the state. In 2004, it set up the Service Center for Minas Gerais Exporters.
It is also responsible for coordinating institutional relations of the state with multilateral organizations – World Bank, IDB, UN, JBIC and others – as well as various collaboration agreements with other countries. It is also responsible for implementing the Public-Private Partnership Program, which is a pioneer initiative in Brazilian states.
