Business tourism is one of the vocations of the State of Minas Gerais, which has been the host of large national and international events in recent years, such as the Annual Meeting of the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB) in 2006, and the Mercosur Summit in 2004.

Belo Horizonte stands out more and more on the national scene as an attraction for fairs, conferences and meetings of different kinds in the city. There are 45 venues for fairs and conventions, theaters, galleries, halls, etc. Hotels have about 14 thousand beds with some of the lowest fees in the country. Besides the infrastructure in Belo Horizonte, the State has many medium sized towns ready to receive all kinds of events. Juiz de Fora – which now has a fairs and exhibition center for large events – Uberaba, Uberlândia, Poços de Caldas and Araxá are able to receive meetings, gatherings and assemblies with the necessary infrastructure and the typical hospitality of the State of Minas Gerais.


Expominas Belo Horizonte

Designed for large events, Expominas is a modern and functional center for fairs and exhibitions, with approximately 26,000m².  The facilities offer compressed air, the very latest cable installations, a network with 3,500 voice and data outlets, 500 telephone connections, fire detection and alarm, electronic security, air conditioning and good acoustics in the pavilions, a large open area  with  a 17-meter high roof.

Expominas stands out from other centers for fairs in the country through its functionality and wide range of services offered to exhibitors and to the public, such as:

• 1 multipurpose pavilion with 5,160m²;
• 3 fair and exhibition pavilions, with  17,310m² and a capacity for 45,000 people;
• 1 annex with 2 floors, between the multipurpose and fair pavilions, with approximately 5,000m², distributed as follows:
• 2,230 parking spaces (2,000 in the open air and 230 indoors); all environments have air conditioning; facilities for handicapped people – with access ramps and elevators – and  good acoustics. 

 

Expominas Juiz de Fora

One of the most recent facilities for events and exhibitions in the interior of the State of Minas Gerais is the Regional Convention Center and Exhibit Hall of Zona da Mata – Expominas Juiz de Fora. This center makes Juiz de Fora and its region into an important center for business tourism and events in the State of Minas Gerais and southeast Brazil.

One of the most recent facilities for events and exhibitions in the interior of the State of Minas Gerais is the Regional Convention Center and Exhibit Hall of Zona da Mata – Expominas Juiz de Fora. This center makes Juiz de Fora and its region into an important center for business tourism and events in the State of Minas Gerais and southeast Brazil.

It is on a strategic site on the Rio-Belo Horizonte highway, at km 790, 15 minutes from the city center. The area for events is 15,000 m² , in a built-up area of 20,000 m².

The structure can hold events of up to 13 thousand people simultaneously and can therefore hold six different events.

Expominas Juiz de Fora is an advanced project, bringing together practicality and safety, with the best technology. Central air-conditioning services the auditorium, the main hall and multipurpose rooms, and the administrative areas have individual split-unit air-conditioning systems.
