The Sub-secretariat for Mineral and Metallurgical Development and Energy Policy is responsible for managing water, energy and mineral resources from management and development of production systems, including transformation and expansion through to distribution and sale of the goods. The Sub-Secretariat manages State Councils for Energy (Coner) and Geology and Mining (Cegem), which bring together representatives from public and private sectors in order to discuss and formulate public policies for the development of the State of Minas Gerais.
